Website Development

Every channel you pay for lands here.

A conversion-engineered site in your own brand, built to load before a visitor decides to leave, wired to your payments and marketing tools, and handed over with every key in your name.

What usually goes wrong

Three ways a new website disappoints.

Nobody is unhappy on launch day. The disappointment arrives in month three, and it is almost always one of these.

It is beautiful and nobody enquires

A site can be genuinely well designed and still have no argument in it. If the copy, the order of the sections and the single next step were not decided before the design started, what you bought was decoration on top of an unanswered question.

You cannot change a word without paying

The most common form of lock-in is not malicious, it is architectural: a build so intricate that editing a headline needs the person who made it. A year later the site says something you no longer believe, because changing it costs money.

It got slower every month

Fast on launch day, then a plugin here and a tracking script there. Nobody set a performance budget, so nothing ever violates it, and by the time it is obvious the cause is spread across two years of small decisions.

Ownership

A website is seven keys. Check whose name each one is in.

The question that decides whether a website is an asset or a subscription is never asked on the proposal. Switch between the two arrangements below, then click any key.

The three builds

What actually changes between them.

The difference is not page count. It is how much of your business has to be wired into it, and how many people need to be able to edit it afterwards.

How it runs

Two to four weeks, and exactly what we need from you.

Website projects overrun for one reason far more often than any other: the agency is waiting on something and nobody said so early. Here is the whole schedule, including your side of it.

Pricing

One-time to build. A small amount to keep it healthy.

Ranges are ranges because page count, product count and the number of integrations genuinely change the work. You get a fixed number after the strategy session, before anything starts.

Fastest

$450
one-time, live in 5 days

One conversion-focused page: copywriting, brand design, a lead form or WhatsApp handoff, and analytics. The cheapest way to stop sending paid traffic to a homepage.

Most businesses

The usual answer

$1,500–$2,800
one-time, 2-4 weeks

Five to eight pages with the copy written first, a blog you can publish to, SEO foundations, and a training session so nothing needs us afterwards.

Selling online

$2,500–$5,000
one-time, 3-5 weeks

A complete store in your brand with payments and shipping configured, the catalogue synced into social, and everything tested before launch rather than after.

Keep it healthy

$120–$180
per month, optional

Websites decay quietly: software updates, expiring certificates, a plugin that stops being maintained. This is the plan that means you never find out the hard way.

All prices in USD and exclusive of hosting and domain fees, which are paid by you directly to providers in your own name. Builds are invoiced 50% to start and 50% before launch. The Care Plan is month-to-month with no minimum, and cancelling it changes nothing about who owns the site.

Why AdvanSEM

Four commitments, aimed squarely at the usual complaints.

Every one of these exists because of something that routinely goes wrong on website projects, including ones that looked fine at launch.

Every key in your name, from day one

Domain, hosting, source, analytics, admin and payment accounts are all opened by you or transferred to you. Not at the end as a favour — at the start, as the arrangement.

You can edit it without calling us

A training session at handover and a build deliberately simple enough that changing a headline is a two-minute job for someone non-technical. Complexity that creates dependency is not craft.

A performance budget, set before the first plugin

We agree a load budget at the start and every addition has to fit inside it. That is the only reliable defence against a site that is fast in month one and slow by month six.

Copy is written before design begins

The order of the sections and the argument they make is the actual product. Designing first and pouring words in afterwards is how you end up with a beautiful site that does not sell anything.

The ecosystem

This is the floor every other service stands on.

Nothing else on this site works properly if the destination is broken, slow, or impossible to change.

CRO & Analytics

Conversion testing needs a site that can be changed cheaply and measured honestly. Sometimes the audit finds a template that cannot be fixed by testing, and then the honest answer is a rebuild rather than another experiment.

SEO & AI Visibility

Site speed, clean structure and machine-readable markup are decided at build time. Retrofitting them into a site that was designed without them is always more expensive than doing it once, properly.

Media Buying

A landing page at $450 costs less than a day of media on most accounts, and it is usually the single cheapest thing you can do to make paid traffic profitable.

Terms, in plain language

What you own, and what happens if we part ways.

Website contracts are where lock-in usually hides. Ours is short on purpose.

Questions

Everything worth asking before you sign a build.

How much does a website cost?

A single landing page is $450 one-time and goes live in five business days. A business website of five to eight pages is $1,500 to $2,800 and takes two to four weeks. An e-commerce store is $2,500 to $5,000 over three to five weeks. The optional Care Plan is $120 to $180 a month. Hosting and domain fees are paid by you directly, in your own name.

Because page count, product count and the number of systems that have to be wired in genuinely change the work, and a single headline price would just mean padding it. You get one fixed number after the strategy session, before anything starts — and it does not move unless you change the scope.

Yes, outright, on final payment — source files, design files, content and documentation. More importantly, the domain, hosting, analytics and payment accounts are in your name from the beginning rather than transferred at the end as a courtesy.

Yes, and it is a design goal rather than an afterthought. Every build comes with a training session for whoever will actually be editing, and the site is deliberately kept simple enough that changing a headline or swapping an image is a two-minute job for someone non-technical.

Landing page: five business days. Business website: two to four weeks. Store: three to five weeks. Projects overrun for one reason more than any other — the agency is waiting on something and nobody said so early — which is why the schedule on this page lists what we need from you in each week.

Forty-five minutes for the strategy session, one round of comments on the copy, any brand assets or photography you already have, access granted from your own accounts for the tools we are connecting, and an hour for training at launch. That is the whole list.

We set a performance budget before the first plugin is added and every addition has to fit inside it. Google’s published threshold for a good Largest Contentful Paint is 2.5 seconds on mobile, and that is the budget we build to. A site that is fast at launch and slow by month six is what happens when nobody set one.

The foundations are built in rather than retrofitted: clean structure, one heading hierarchy per page, descriptive URLs, alt text, fast loading and machine-readable markup. That is the technical groundwork, not a ranking campaign — ongoing search work is our SEO and AI Visibility service.

Often, and it is worth asking rather than assuming. Sometimes the honest answer is that the existing template is the problem and rebuilding is cheaper than working around it for two years. You will get that answer at the session, with the reasoning, not a proposal for whichever option is larger.

A 30-day support window is included on business and e-commerce builds: anything broken is fixed and anything unclear is explained. After that the Care Plan is optional at $120 to $180 a month for updates, backups, monitoring and up to two hours of content edits. Cancelling it changes nothing about who owns the site.

Next step

Book a strategy session

45 minutes. $95, credited in full toward your first invoice.

Send us the site you have, or the offer you want a page for. We will tell you which of the three builds you actually need, what it would cost as one fixed number, and whether rebuilding is genuinely better than fixing what you have.
