Sign-ups that turn into active users
Acquisition and activation managed as one plan, reported as cost per activated sign-up and CAC payback.
- “Activated” defined in writing before the first campaign
- Every test ends in a written kill-or-scale readout
- For SaaS, apps, courses, academies and memberships
The form is where most reports stop, and where the value starts
A sign-up is a promise, not a result.
Counting the form, not the user
A sign-up who never uses the product costs as much to acquire as one who does. Campaigns are optimised for the moment value lands, not the moment the form is sent.
Tests without a decision
Experiments that run for months without a verdict spend budget quietly.
Nobody owns the first days
When no one is responsible for what happens after sign-up, activation is left to chance. From the Structure level, onboarding flows are included.
Activated means something different in every business
So the first thing we do is write your definition down. These are the kinds of moments it usually describes, and what every campaign then optimises for.

More of the visitors you already pay for, signing up
Every channel sends people to the same page, so the page decides what each channel’s budget is worth. More sign-ups from the same traffic means more people reaching activation, without a bigger budget.
The first days after sign-up decide who stays
Most people who will ever activate decide in their first days. The messages that follow sign-up are aimed at the moment you defined as activated, and every cohort is read to see how many reached it.
Defined, instrumented, acquired, activated, paid back
The definition comes first, so every channel is judged on the users it brings, not the forms it fills.

What “activated” means in your product or programme, in writing.

Activated

Paid back

Prove a channel. Then activation. Then the whole engine
Each level contains the one before it, and every one-time setup is included in your first month.

Not sure which level fits? That is what the session is for
Cost per activated sign-up is the number we answer to
Raw sign-ups never appear as a headline. Every report reads acquisition through to activation, and payback, by cohort.
When activation stalls
If the activation rate stays flat across two cohorts, we run an onboarding sprint before acquisition spend goes up.
Your monthly report
Cost per activated sign-up, and the CAC payback it produces
Activation rate by cohort and by channel · CAC payback in months · Raw sign-ups, only as context
The channels, onboarding flows and experiments we moved this month, and why
Every test that ended, with its written kill-or-scale decision
The next cohort, the tests already queued, and what each one should prove
An activation stall, a tracking gap, or a date on your calendar we should plan around
Six blocks, in this order, every month. The dashboard is live all month; the report interprets it.
From the activation definition to the first cohort read
The first campaign does not go live until everyone agrees what it is supposed to produce.

Built for businesses that grow by activation
This fits if
- Value lands after sign-up: a product, an app, a course or a membership
- You can define “activated”, or want help defining it
- You can share activation data, not only sign-ups
- A board, an investor or an intake date sets your clock
Not yet, if
- You only want sign-up volume
- Customers buy at checkout, with nothing to activate afterwards
- Every deal closes on a sales call
- Activation data cannot be shared with us at all
The terms, before you ask

What people ask about sign-ups
Can we start on Foundation and move up once activation is proven?
Yes. Moving up adds channels, onboarding flows and activation experiments on top of what is already in place. Nothing is rebuilt.
Do you need access to our product analytics?
We need to see activation, not only sign-ups. If your product analytics already records it, read access is enough. If it does not, instrumenting it is part of the setup.
How fast will we see a signal?
The first activation-cohort read comes at week 4, and decisions are made from readouts, not from how the numbers feel.
What do you need from us to get started?
Partner access to your ad accounts and messaging platform, not passwords. And someone who can agree the definition of “activated” with us and approve onboarding flows.
